The program included the reports from the association (Ina Hundhausen) and the Wood Protection expert committee (chairman Dr. Jörg Habicht, Wolman Wood and Fire Protection GmbH) as well as contributions about the European wood protection association EWPM.
Dr. Jens Roeder (Wolman Wood and Fire Protection GmbH) explained that vacuum-pressure-treated local wood such as pine and spruce are the best ecological and economical alternative to tropical wood and, thanks to their long durability, also reduce logging in local forests.
