Wolmanit^® CX guarantees an extended service life of the fences and noise barriers for the entire London Gateway site

On the doorstep of London, with unrivalled deep-water access, road and rail links to the whole of the UK, London Gateway is a newly built, state-of-the-art, highly automated deep sea container port.

Located beside Europe’s largest logistics centre, supply chains into the UK are now very efficient. London Gateway has been modelled on DP World’s flagship Jebel Ali facility in Dubai, which has been voted ‘Best Seaport in the Middle East’ for 19 consecutive years.

With pathways for walking, cycling and horse riding, also ponds and grasslands for the local wildlife to establish and grow, the local environment was very much a part of this project. The demand for quality throughout the build of this project has been evident in all its planning including fencing and noise barriers for this vast 9.25 million sq.ft. site.

Fencing: Extending service life through Wolmanit^® CX

The fencing and noise barriers for the entire London Gateway site have been treated with Wolman’s Wolmanit^® CX product line of high quality wood preservatives to ensure the long-term durability of the fencing solution. With more than 20 years field experience, the Wolmanit^® CX product line has largely demonstrated its wood preservative performance. The product used in this particular installation was Wolmanit CX-8F, one of the CX-8 family of products used across Europe.

Meeting stringent requirements

Wolman’s Wolmanit^® CX product line has been evaluated by a number of independent expert panels and quality schemes across Europe.

Independent quality audits e.g. by SP Technical Research Institute of Sweden, confirm that Wolmanit^® CX achieves the best performance levels in a number of disciplines. Products from the Wolmanit^® CX product range are listed in WPA, NTR, KOMO, CTB p+ and other quality schemes in Europe.
