The interesting, wide-ranging program of lectures provided an overview on several areas of the application of wood preservatives, looking at the subject from different angles.
For example a new guidance for planning and specifying decking projects to avoid disappointment on both sides - manufacturer and customer as well as initial results from the DURAtest project on the challenges in durability classification of wood products.
Dr. Jörg Habicht, Head of R&D and Regulatory Affairs and Dr. Jens Röder, Head of Marketing attended the meeting. Dr. Jörg Habicht gave an insight into the current status of the wood preservative manufacturers' information initiative on the Biocidal Product Regulation (BPR) process.
